Honor and Duty

November 11, 2012

Without laws a nation is void of identity. The ideals and principles that define those laws determine its righteous or unrighteous place in the world, and while the government administers, the military defends.

On this day as we express gratitude to our veterans for their sacrifices let us also remember the reason for their service. The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States stand on their honor and duty.

God Bless our veterans!

Thanks, Boomie! We need to preserve and cultivate our ideals or our freedoms become worthless. I appreciate the tweet, too!

Well said, well said. We take so much of our freedom for granted!

Indeed! Good thing these “holidays” come around to help spark our memory.

So true! At least we have a day now and then where we are forced to think thankful thoughts! 🙂

I’m late in reading this. But it stands the test of time. Excellently written and right-on!
