It Happens Everyday

July 26, 2012

see you in the morning
standing upright in the doorway
who would ever know

walking, talking, praying
facing the day for the first time
it would never show

sure you could live a better way
answers out of sight
even after all else fails you

choose the love that sets you free
   suddenly see
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
   ask and you shall see
it’s just a heartbeat away, a heartbeat away
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
it happens everyday, it happens everyday

searching for the rainbow
you thought so long would surely dawn
soon after the storm

safe haven slips away
leading onward slowly guessing
miles away from home

empty words and broken promises
you’ve seen better days
even in spite of what you do

choose the love that sets you free
   suddenly see
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
   ask and you shall see
it’s just a heartbeat away, a heartbeat away
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
it happens everyday, it happens everyday

the life you learn with leaves a twisted trail
is it what it seems
the life you live with opens a new path
is it what it seems
later the life you know yields
it’s never too late

choose the love that sets you free
   suddenly see
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
   ask and you shall see
it’s just a heartbeat away, a heartbeat away
something good is coming your way
it happens everyday, it happens everyday
it happens everyday, it happens everyday

This is just too awesome, George! I wonder what the music will sound like for it.
Yes, people get saved everyday! :-)
A nice piece of chocolate for you! :-)
    Hugs xx

Thanks, Deb! This one has soaring melodies but I still need to work on the arrangement. Definitely an upbeat tune and a joy to sing. I can remember the morning clearly and yes, indeed, people get saved everyday…it’s a wonderful sight to see! :)
Happy to savor that chocolate and a piece for you, too! :)
      Cheers!

Wonderful and uplifting George — liked it all but especially:
the life you learn with leaves a twisted trail
    is it what it seems
the life you live with opens a new path
    is it what it seems
later the life you know yields
    it’s never too late

Thanks for sharing this George!! ~ Robyn :)

Thanks, Robyn! Sometimes life is difficult to understand but possibilities always exist if we are willing and able to be patient. Perhaps that is the bigger challenge! Glad you liked it! :)

Beautiful indeed, George. I, too, am curious about the music that will go with this – all the best with the arrangement :)

Thanks, Alarna! Finishing the mix on another instrumental right now and then I hope to get back to working on these arrangements. Cheers! :)

As I read this it played a melody in my mind along with it – I did not realize it is a beautiful song until the end! How wonderful, I hope to hear what your tune actually is that goes along with the lovely words. :-)

Thanks, Angel! I would love to hear the melody that played in your mind! Sometimes the lyrics lead the melody and vice versa while other times the overarching theme leads the way. In this case, they all seemed to happen together. Delighted that you enjoyed this and I appreciate your kind remarks! :)
